Stripes- Break the Rules Like an Artist

The Museumsquartier:

It’s the 8th largest cultural area in the world and is located in the 7th district in Vienna. Things that go on inside the MQ range from festivals like the Wiener Festwochen to small temporary exhibition spaces like the Kunsthalle Wien to large art museums like the Leopold Museum and the MUMOK (Museum of Modern Art Ludwig Foundation Vienna). The atmosphere was wonderful and captivating. We also went into the Leopold Museum and I might have not been as fascinated as my mother was, who is a complete art lover, but I did really enjoy it. I definitely recommend the Museumsquartier to every tourist, whether you want to go to a museum to see beautiful artwork or to just go for a coffee to experience the cheerful atmosphere.

I wore a Tommy Hilfiger dress, with sunglasses from Ralph Lauren, ballerinas from Salvatore Ferragamo and a leather bag from Zara. You may love polka dots or plaid but if there is one thing that I love than any of them are stripes. They always make me feel classy, prim and chick at the same time, if that’s even possible. Many people say you should avoid horizontal stripes as they widen your shape. Though this may be true in some cases, most of the time stripes add curves to your body and a playful, young touch. So no matter what the experts say, just go for what feels and what you believe is right. Walking though the Leopold Museum that day and looking at an artwork by Pablo Picasso, I remembered what he said. He said “Learn the rules like a pro, so you can break them like an artist.” Who knew fashion and life lessons could be related?
