An Italian author named Barbara Conelli once said, When life gives you twists and turns, chique yourself up in Italy. Florence is the perfect get away city to get lost in Italian history, architecture, art, style, and of course food. The city itself surprised me. It’s so unbelievably beautiful and i got upset that we only got to stay one day. Although it was an extremely hot day, walking around florence’s lovely streets made me truly proud to be Italian and realise how much of Italy i still haven’t seen. There are a couple of places to definitely visit when in Florence. Those places include the beautiful and famous Florence Cathedral completed in 1436, the Basilica di Santa Croce, Piazzale Michelangelo, and the old bridge named Ponte Vecchio where one of a kind jewellery is sold. The secret to finding good places to eat in Italy is not to visit those large touristic restaurants, but rather hidden tiny restaurants where you get to taste true Italian cuisine. After doing a bit of shopping and more walking around in Florence, we headed to our hotel. The hotel we stayed at was actually an old church that was created into a bed and breakfast kind of place. It was on top of a hill and had a pool that overlooked the beautiful Italian mountains. Inside our little house, some parts of the old church were still kept, making the place historically beautiful. Florence was truly a dream, and a place i will for sure visit again.
