Andalusia

My family and I only spent 6 days in Andalusia and stayed in the area of Marbella and Malaga. Most of my days consisted of laying at the beach, with a Mojito and The Mortal Instruments Book 6 in hand. But we also went golfing, visited friends, went to markets, little cities, harbors and ate good food. The golf courses were beautiful, the little cities were beyond cute and the food was mind boggling. Paella, Churros, tapas… ahhh. Don’t you wish summer never had to end. There is nothing better then Spain in the Summer.

Andalusia is located in the south of Spain. It has many kilometers of golden sand beaches and 3000 hours of sun per year. “The smell of orange blossom, the lilt of a flamenco guitar, the flash of the matador’s cape; memories of Andalucía stay with you like collected souvenirs, begging you to return,” said the lonely planet. Many people call Spain “the bridge between two continents” and with Andalusia located furthest south they have been introduced to an abundant amount of cultures throughout the centuries. Even Santiago’s journey in the “Alchemist” starts in Andalusia.

“Andalusia is filled with nice boutiques, bars, restaurants, and a ton of nightlife, and the resorts are the most crowded in the whole country. Some say it’s because of the boiling hot weather and the beautiful landscape. There are marvelous beaches along the Costa de Almería, rolling green hills, huge nature reserves, snow-capped mountains, and white villages. Others say it’s because of the vivacious, fun-loving people and the beautiful historical sites.” From The Alchemist Allusions (http://thealchemistallusions.weebly.com/andalusia.html)
